Samsung Galaxy A52 4G and 5G's full specs, design and price revealed in a massive leak

Gambar
We've been hearing about the Samsung Galaxy A52 4G and Galaxy A52 5G for quite some time, and while there's still no official word from Samsung about these smartphones yet, the steady stream of leaks over the past months have given us a fair idea of what to expect from these phones. However, the latest leak by German blog WinFuture leaves little to the imagination as it details the specs of the Galaxy A52 4G and 5G while revealing their prices and sharing new renders. The Galaxy A52 4G and 5G were spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 720G and Snapdragon 750G, respectively. The publication corroborates that bit and claims both smartphones will run Android 11 with One UI out of the box and have two memory options depending on the market - 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB. Both 4G and 5G models will also come with a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The source says that Galaxy A52 4G and 5G are identical with differences in chipset and connectivity. That means bot...

Oppo patents a smartphone with a selfie camera sliding sideways

Gambar
Oppo is no stranger to moving cameras on its phones - from the N1 all the way back in 2013 to the Find X slider and the Reno 10x zoom with its sharkfin. But despite sticking to more conventional designs for the past two years it's still considering some interesting ideas. Thanks to a dig by LetsGoDigital , we know the Chinese company has patented a sideways sliding selfie camera that goes from one end of the top bezel to the other. The patent filled with the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organisation) is 33 pages long, detailing how this would work. The idea behind the sliding camera is to capture images from different angles, and that would be done if the camera sensor is mounted on a guide block, going from one end to another on a rail. There will be a tiny motor that does the job, and the movement will occur only when the selfie camera is activated through the dedicated app. Taking selfies from an angle might be another artistic way to do frontal photo...

Gambar

He also revealed there would be once again three phones with two different chipsets - the vanilla Huawei P50 will come with a Kirin 9000E, while the P50 Pro and P50 Pro+ will run on the flagship platform Kirin 9000. Huawei P40 Pro, P40 Pro+, and P40 According to the Twitter user @RODENT950, Huawei has finalized the design, and the phone is ready to go into mass production. The new series will bring a “new design,” but the source did not say whether it is about the cameras or the phone/s in general. The P50, P50 Pro, and P50 Pro+ will certainly bring a new camera setup, improved screen, and gaming capabilities. The front panel will be OLED. While Korean manufacturers LG and Samsung are ready to provide pane...

S-Connect has been manufacturing hinges for Samsung’s foldable phones since last year and will soon start making the hinges for the next generation Galaxy Z phones. Today the company announced that it has received the go-ahead from Samsung. It will start mass producing the hinges for the Galaxy Z Flip2 and Z Fold3 in the second quarter of this year. The production of the phones themselves should begin soon after that. This lines up with IceUnivere's report that the next-gen Z phones will arrive in July. Timeline for Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 development and production S-Connect expects that the foldable market will grow to 5.5 million units this year and that foldables will make up an increasingly larger fraction of phones sold. That will be great for the company, which forecasts that in 2023 hinges will make up 50% of its sales (up from just 17% this year). In related news, S-Connect will start manufacturing components for the Galaxy Tab S8 and S8+ slates arou...

Oppo Find X3 spotted in benchmark listings with Snapdragon 870

Gambar
We’ve seen a steady influx of leaks surround Oppo’s Find X3 series in the past months and we’re expecting at least three phones to launch sometime next month. Based on the latest rumors, we’re in for a Find X3 Pro, Find X3 Neo and Find X3 lite, the latter of which is supposedly a rebadged Reno5 5G but today we have a leak focused on the vanilla Find X3 model powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 chipset. The new info comes courtesy of two AnTuTu and AIDA 64 benchmark listings and reveals the device is bearing the PEDM00 model name. The actual listings shows the chipset is codenamed kona which usually corresponds to the Snapdragon 865 though one of the accompanying screenshots reveals the About device section which shows it's running on the Snapdragon 870 platform, which is sort of a Snapdragon 865++ sharing the core architecture. Android 11 update reaches Samsung Galaxy A51 units in India

Earlier this month, Samsung started sending out the update to One UI 3.0 based on Android 11 to the Galaxy A51 units sold in Russia. It was inevitably just a matter of time until the update would make it to more countries and territories, and today it's reached India. The new release for Indian units has been captured on a couple of Samsung-dedicated firmware pages, with the new build number ending in DUB1 and the February 2021 security patch level included for good measure. The over-the-air rollout should start any moment now, and then from the time it does expect it to take at least a few days to gradually land on all of the A51 units sold in India.

Samsung Galaxy A52 5G appears on Google Play Console, confirms Snapdragon 750G chipset

Gambar
The Galaxy A52 5G is expected to be the next best-selling midranger by Samsung, but the phone is yet to arrive. It already appeared in multiple leaks, revealing the majority of its specs, and now it has popped up on Google Play Console, confirming the Snapdragon 750G chipset and Android 11 out of the box. Samsung Galaxy A52 5G on Google Play Console The listing also has a frontal image of the phone from which we can see an Infinity-O panel that is most likely AMOLED, given the fact, there is no fingerprint sensor in sight, and the power key is clearly visible. The Galaxy A52 5G certified on Google Play Console has 6GB RAM and a display with Full HD+ resolution. Other rumored specs include a 4,500 mAh battery with 15W fast charging, four cameras on the back, and an IP67 rating - something the Samsung midrangers haven’t had since the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017). The Galaxy A52 5G will also have a 4G sibling with pretty much the same specs but a Snapd...

Realme Narzo 30 Pro appears, looks suspiciously similar to the Realme Q2

Gambar
Realme is expected to out the Narzo 30 lineup next week, and the brand CEO for India and Europe has just revealed one of the phones on his Twitter page. Madhav Sheth posted a photo, holding the Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G, surrounded by the retail boxes of the phone. After a detailed inspection of the image, we can see a triple camera with a 48MP main sensor and a fingerprint scanner on the side - confirming yesterday's reports of this being a rebranded Realme Q2. The phones have also been listed on Flipkart - one of them will be able to “Trigger Ultimate Speed”, while the other will “Unlock Mega Power”, which means we should expect a quick chipset and a big battery for the respective devices. If the Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G is indeed the Realme Q2 5G, the specs sheet should include a Mediatek Dimensity 800U chipset, 120Hz LCD, and a single selfie camera, sitting behind a punch hole. If all these features sound familiar, that’s because they have also appeared on a poste...

Carl Pei says Essential acquisition was all about the patents

Yesterday news broke out that Carl Pei’s new venture Nothing has acquired the Essential smartphone brand. The details were unraveled in filings with the UK’s Intellectual Property Office and detailed the IP transfer was completed on January 6, 2021. Now, Pei himself confirmed yesterday’s reports and clarified that the whole deal was centered around the patents held by Essential. He further clarified that there is, ahem, nothing to share regarding Nothing’s plans with the newly acquired Esenetial patents. Though with the new evidence, it’s more likely we’ll see Nothing in the smartphone business sooner or later. Yes, the rumors are true, we’ve acquired Essential’s trademarks. Today, we are all in on Nothing, and don’t have anything to share at the moment regarding our plans with Essential Earlier this month, Nothing revealed its plans to launch its first wireless earphones this summer. Back then Pei described his vision of creating an ecosystem of devices that ...
